What was the highlight of Hôtel La Roya
Clean, comfortable, luxurious hotel in a great location for a relaxing break.
Stunning beach front location, comfortable sun loungers, spacious well kept gardens, clean pool area and plenty of relaxation areas. The hotel and room was exceptionally clean, lovely toiletries in the room, exceptional room cleaning service and friendly, helpful reception/front of house staff. Good location for a nice walk into the town where you can catch a water taxi to the beautiful Lotu beach with white sands and turquoise seas, great for snorkelling if you take a short walk west of the beach. Really good food from the restaurant though few options and quite pricey, otherwise a 10 minute walk to town for other dining options.
Whilst breakfast offered plenty of options, there often seemed to be empty coffee pots (would have preferred the buffet breakfast with coffee/tea table service), and the breakfast waitress wasn't very helpful or friendly, she didn't speak English nor did the staff in the restaurant, though they were at least friendly so that didn't matter. We did address this with the management who were more than helpful and explained that following covid there was a shortage of staff working in hospitality so having staff who spoke other languages proved to be challenging. This didn't spoil our holiday though and the management were very understanding and helpful.

Great hotel right by the beach - very luxurious furnishings, comfortable room, very good air-con helpful staff - highly recommended
Restaurant was closed which was a shame as its said to be one of the better places to eat in town

Beautiful Corsican boutique beach resort. Peaceful and relaxing.
Breakfast excellent. Setting excellent.
Lunch and dinner menu very limited. And good but not outstanding.
